 The Republic Parks and Recreation Department will begin registration for Summer Recreation Day Camp on Monday, March 1st at 8:00 a.m. Summer Recreation Day Camp is offered during the summer months for children ages 6 (or have completed kindergarten) – 12. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with campers given the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities including gym games, board games, gymnastics, crafts, field trips and swimming.

 Residents are advised that the City's procedure for collecting on insufficient fund checks submitted as payment for water and sewer service has changed. Effective immediately any payment returned due to insufficient funds will immediately be reversed to that account and a $20 service charge imposed. Service disconnection will occur under the existing schedule for non-payment. Water and Sewer payments are due on the tenth of the month and disconnection will occur if payment is not received by the 15th day of the following month.

 In a cooperative effort between local veterans, the City of Republic and the Republic Community Foundation, plans have been unveiled for a proposed Republic Veterans Memorial to be constructed within Miller Park located at 711 E. Miller Road. The memorial, as proposed, will be one of the most significant veteran memorial projects in the area and will provide a visible presence of appreciation to those men and women that have served our country in the armed forces.

 McLane Company, Inc. plans to build a new distribution center in Republic, Missouri. This distribution center will likely bring over 400 new jobs to Republic, Missouri when the distribution center reaches its full phase volume.
