Commercial

Commercial building projects include the construction of a new building purposed for use by any commercial enterprise, non-profit organization, religious organization or other entity wishing to occupy the building for business-like purposes. This includes the alteration or infill of an existing commercial structure or the placement of an accessory structure on a commercial lot.

Changes to a building, including but not limited to, its plumbing, electric, or mechanical (HVAC) systems require a permit, as well.

Temporary structures, such as fireworks stands, will also require a permit.

Any work to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or convert any commercial building will require a building permit. Be sure to check to see if your project is a type of work that does not require a building permit.
