Father/Daughter Dance To Be Held Friday Night

The 15th Annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance will be held on Friday, February 1 at the Republic Community Center. Come and enjoy a night full of fun, excitement, and dancing complete with refreshments, music provided by a live D.J., a complimentary photograph taken by a professional photographer, and a goody bag for all daughters. Over 800 fathers and daughters participated in the 2018 event.

Registration is required for this event and payment is due at the time of registration. Late registrations will be taken through February 1 and the fees are currently $30 per couple and $15 for each additional daughter.

Registration can be completed at the Republic Community Center or online (processing fees apply for online registrations).

Living Legacy Tree Program Spring Planting Deadline Is January 31

The Living Legacy Tree Program offers individuals an opportunity to honor a loved one by purchasing a tree to be planted within J.R. Martin Park. These trees serve as a long-lasting, living remembrance that will also benefit the community for many years to come. Additionally, trees can be purchased simply as a donation to the park.

Trees are available for a donation of $150. A 6”x6” honorary plaque is also available to purchase for an additional $100. The plaque will be placed next to the tree when planted.
The deadline to purchase a tree for the springtime planting is January 31. Order forms can be found online at www.republicmo.gov/LivingLegacy or at the Republic Community Center.

Senior Movie Day This Thursday

The Senior Movie Day is offered the last Thursday of every month starting at 3:00 p.m. The Senior Movie Day is FREE and free coffee and popcorn will also be provided. January's movie will be Operation Finale and will be shown on Thursday, January 31.

Munchkin Movie Scheduled For Friday Morning

Munchkin Movie Day is held the first Friday of each month and offers families a unique opportunity to go to a movie without the worry of your child sitting still. Family friendly movies will be shown and popcorn will be available for FREE! The next Munchkin Movie Day will feature Smallfoot and will be held on February 1 at 10:30 a.m.

Spring Co-Ed Youth Soccer Registration Now Open

Registration for Spring Co-Ed Youth Soccer is open through February 22! Leagues are available for 3 to 12 year olds. To register your child or team, please call the Republic Community Center at 732-3500.*

*Placement from our individual list is not guaranteed; we rely heavily on volunteer coaches for individual placement. If you are interested in coaching, give us a call for more info!

Toddler Tumbling Registration Opens January 31

This basic tumbling class is open to toddlers (ages 2-5) and meets on Thursday evenings. Tumbling, movement, balance and flexibility will be covered in each session. Music and props will be incorporated into the class. One parent will be required to participate in the class with their toddler. There will be a maximum of eight toddlers per class. All classes will be held at the Republic Community Center Activities Building. This session will be held February 21 - March 14 from 6:30-7:15 p.m. The cost of the program is $20 per four week session. Registration can be completed at the Republic Community Center.
