Reindeer Run 5K Set for December 6

The 11th Annual Reindeer Run 5K will be held on Friday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. at J.R. Martin Park in Republic. Pre-Registration is open through December 5. Fees are $25 or $17 with the donation of an unwrapped children’s gift. Race Day registration fees increase to $30 or $22 with the gift donation. Wear your most festive outfit and join us for this one-of-a-kind evening race while enjoying the holiday lights with your friends and family!

Breakfast with Santa to be Held December 7

Come and celebrate the holiday season with the Republic Parks & Recreation Department and Santa Claus! Breakfast with Santa is a pancake and sausage breakfast for families in the community and will be held at the Republic Community Center on Saturday, December 7 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The morning features great food, fun, holiday crafts, and pictures with Santa. The cost for the event is $3 per plate and $1 per photo with Santa (or you may take your own).

School's Out Program - Winter Break

School’s Out Program is offered during Winter Break (following the Republic School District calendar). Activities and field trips are planned to ensure a fun-filled day for the children. A sack lunch and a snack are required each day. Payment is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. A minimum of 10 children must be registered 48 hours prior to each date in order to run the program. The program is available for ages 6 (or in kindergarten) through 12 and runs from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The cost is $22 per child, per day.

Note: Due to staffing requirements and pre-payment for field trip costs, School’s Out Program fees are non-refundable. Refunds or credits will not be given for children who sign up for the program and then withdraw.

Republic Aquatic Center Early Bird Season Passes

The Republic Aquatic Center will be offering discounted ‘Early Bird’ Season Passes for the 2020 season. The ‘Early Bird’ passes will go on sale December 16 and remain available to the public until March 31, 2020. Pricing information can be found in the graphic below.

These passes make great gifts for the kids! ‘Early Bird’ passes can be purchased at the Republic Community Center. Please note “The Huna” isn’t included in any type of season pass. Those wishing to ride the specialty attraction must pay a $3.00 extra daily fee.

Winter Youth Volleyball Registration Runs Through December 27

Winter Youth Volleyball registration is open through December 27. The league is available to those in 1st through 6th grades. Registration will be accepted for both teams and individuals*. The season begins the week of January 20. To register, please call 732-3500.

*Individual placement is not guaranteed and is dependent on the number of volunteer coaches.

New Party Package Options

Looking for somewhere to host your child's next birthday party? Be sure to check out our NEW Party Package options! From toddler parties to sports parties, superhero and princess parties, and even bubble soccer, laser tag, and Nerf wars, we have something for everyone! Parties are available on Saturdays from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. through December. January through March parties are available from 4-6 p.m. only. April through May parties times return to 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Check out our website for pricing and additional information.

Father/Daughter Dance Ticket Sales Start December 30

The 16th Annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Republic Community Center. Come and enjoy a night full of fun, excitement, and dancing complete with refreshments, music provided by a live D.J., a complimentary photograph taken by a professional photographer, and a goody bag for all daughters. Over 800 fathers and daughters participated in the 2019 event. Pre-registration is required for this event and payment is due at the time of registration. Registration will begin on December 30, 2019 and run through February 2, 2020. Prices for the event are $25 per couple and $10 for each additional daughter through February 2. Late registrations will be taken February 3-7 and the fees will increase to $30 per couple and $15 for each additional daughter.

Republic Community Center Holiday Hours

The Republic Community Center will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The building will close at noon on December 24 and at 5:00 p.m. on December 31.
