1. How do I get a copy of an accident or police report?

Reports may be obtained at the Republic Police Department by contacting the Records Division from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at 417-732-3900 or police.records@republicmo.com.

All reports are disseminated per the Missouri Sunshine Law.

2. Does the Police Department take fingerprints for the public?

The Republic Police Department does not offer fingerprinting services to the public. Here are options we recommend:

NICB’s VIN check is a service provided to the public to assist in determining if a vehicle has been reported as stolen but not recovered OR has been reported as a salvage vehicle by cooperating NICB members.

3. How do I add more items to a stolen property report I have already filed?

Contact the original officer taking the report or the detective assigned to the case. Please have available the make, model, brand and serial number of any property stolen, or as much descriptive information as possible.
